The eyebrows can make or ruin your face; if they are outgrown and bushy you can look unkempt in your appearance, if you have the mono-brow then you may be classed as a ‘evil’ or ‘vindictive’ as per old wives tales and if you have bushy eyebrows you may look older than you are. Check out this article for tips on how to tame your eyebrows!

The lowdown - Unruly Eyebrows

Some men are just born with ‘unruly eyebrows’, if you are one of these unlucky men then you need to take charge and become the ruler of your unruly eyebrows. Expert make-up artists to the stars suggest using special brow gels or even a dab of your favourite hair gel. Comb your eyebrow so all the hairs are going in the same direction then grab a tiny bit of eyebrow gel or hair wax and rub it along the eyebrow with the tip of your finger.  You are now the eyebrow ruler!

The dreaded monobrow

The monobrow (an eyebrow that meets in the middle), can be a more painful eyebrow to deal with. The quickest and easiest way to give you eyebrows again (instead of one eyebrow) is to get it waxed as this will remove the hair from the root giving you longer-lasting smoothness. Plucking each hair one by one with eyebrow tweezers is another option but it can be a longer and more painful option.

Waxing your eyebrows

If you choose to wax your monobrow yourself you need to get an eyebrow waxing strip, rub it between your hands to warm it up and then apply it to the area of hair you want to remove. Once it is stuck on rub the wax strip to ensure all offending hairs are sticking to it. Then, in one swift movement (from head to toe) you need to rip the wax strip off. After removing the wax strip rub some antiseptic cream onto the waxed area to tone down any redness.

Some men can be very hairy and find they are blessed (?) with large and bushy eyebrows. If you are one of these men you may decide to purchase a precision trimmer, this will not be much bigger than a fountain pen and designed for moustache reshaping, goatee trimming or eyebrow tidying.

Eyebrow tidy ups at the Beauticians

If you are not a man of steady hands then you may choose to go to a beautician where you can a ‘brow job’ for around £15-£20. A well known department store claims that 40% of customers to their ‘brow bars’ are men requesting an eyebrow tidy!
