Sallauddin Pasha comes from a family of healers so treating
people has become a part of the culture, which has been passed for generations.
His forefathers, those days were an official healer to the kings of Mysore. The
same legacy has been passed on. While at a young age, Syed Sallauddin Pasha was interested in dance. At the
age of six he learned Kathak. At the ageof 14, he realized the power of
dance in healing.His journey started when as a child, he enacted a lead role in
Sanskrit and Kannada plays and he studied Carnatic Music. He acquired
graduation as a choreographer and got the privilege to work with theater and
famous film personalities of the country such as actors Vishnu Vardhan Babu,
B.V. Karanth, M.S. Sathyu of Garm Hava fame and Renuka Sharma, and Ramesh
Aravind.
Syed Sallauddin Pasha is a pioneer of "therapeutic
theater", known for his perfect works of art which incorporates Ramayana,
has choreographed Sufi dance on wheelchair with disabilities for the
people worldwide. He has made his way in the Limca Book of Records. Syed
Sallauddin Pasha has received National Award for
the cause of the welfare of persons with disabilities in the year 2007-2008
from Pratibha Patil. He innovated the dance therapy and has faced various
challenges on his way, but he never gave and now he is recognized figure globally. Syed
Sallauddin Pasha is trained in the Bharatanatyam
dancer, he is now an empanelled theater artist, Kathak, Bharatanatyam with the
Indian Council for Cultural Relations. A well-known Dancer of the Indians
national television Channel Doordarshan With A grade.Syed Sallauddin Pasha
dance troupe has staged more than 10,000 shows worldwide with disabled persons,
including on an international Yoga Day in June, 2015.
Syed Sallauddin Pasha is known as the "Father of Indian" Therapeutic for persons with disabilities. He has received a National Award for his outstanding performances from the President of India in the field of empowerment of persons with disabilities and has entered into the world in the "Limca Book of World Records". Guinness World Record for 100 move theater creations and has an enchanted audience through 10,000 performances by persons with disabilities worldwide. His hard work and effort for the disability has won him National and International recognition. He has been working for the past 30 years, and through his innovative therapeutic education methodology, choreography and direction, he was able to create 100 Therapeutic Theatre productions bringing new hopes, smile, dignity, confidence and enthusiast among the disabled persons across the globe.
