(Support-1844-887-9236) Troubleshoot QuickBooks Errors (15103, 15104, 15105, 15106 &15107)

These errors are generally caused by:

·         Damaged QuickBooks registry entries resulting from the use of a Windows Reg

istry cleaner

·         A damaged QuickBooks update

Troubleshoot these Errors.

One of the following errors occurs when installing a QuickBooks update:


  • Error 15103 or 15106 The update program is not fully configured
  • Error 15104 The update program is missing
  • Error 15105 The update program's version could not be read
  • Error 15107 The update program cannot be initialized

 

Solution 1:

Repair QuickBooks

·         Windows XP or Windows 2000:

                                 I.            Close QuickBooks.

                                II.            Go to Start; select Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs.

                              III.            Right-click your QuickBooks program version and clickChange/Remove.

                              IV.            Follow the instructions to Repair your QuickBooks installation. When the repair has completed, open QuickBooks.

                                V.            Click the Install Now button in the QuickBooks Update Servicewindow to install the update.

·         Windows Vista:

                                 I.            Close QuickBooks.

                                II.            Go to Start; select Control Panel and choose Uninstall a program.

                              III.            Right-click your QuickBooks program version and 

clickUninstall/Change.

                              IV.            Follow the instructions to Repair your QuickBooks installation. When the repair has completed, open QuickBooks.

                                V.            In the QuickBooks Update Service window, click the Insta

ll Nowbutton to install the update.

 

Solution 2:

If the repair is not successful, delete and download the update again.

 

         I.            Close QuickBooks.

        II.            Rename the DownloadQBxx folder DownloadQBxx.OLD, where xx is the number for your version of QuickBooks:

·         QuickBooks 2008 and later: The DownloadQBxx folder is located inC:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks [version]\Componen

·         QuickBooks 2008 Multi currency and earlier: The DownloadQBxx folder is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks.ts.

         I.            Open QuickBooks.

        II.            Go to Help; select Update QuickBooks choose the Update Now tab.

      III.            Select Reset the updates, choose Get Updates to download the updates again. This may take a few minutes.

      IV.            Once the updates are downloaded, close QuickBooks and open it again.

2.        Click the Install Now button in the QuickBooks Update Service window to install the update.

 

Solution 3:

 If the error still occurs, uninstall and reinstall QuickBooks.

         I.            Follow the steps to perform a clean install or clean uninstall of QuickBooks.

        II.            Open QuickBooks.

      III.            Download and install the updates.
