DYI over glasses sunglass
The oldest trick in the Do-It-Yourself handbook to
have over glasses sunglasses is to literally wear your sunglasses over your
spectacles! While choosing to wear contact lenses seemingly solves this issue,
it is not always convenient to wear contacts, especially when you embark on a
strenuous activity in harsh surroundings, say for instance, a trek. This would
not provide you with an opportunity to appropriately cleanse and store the
lenses. In such situations, be not worried! Find a pair of sunglasses that are
preferably fully framed and fit them over your spectacles. While it could be a
little tight around the bridge of the nose and ears, it is nothing a little getting

Photo chromatic glasses are spectacles that can
transition from clear glass to anti-glare dark shades depending on the exposure
to the sun. Though not strictly falling within the over glasses sunglasses category,
they fulfill the same purpose in that they serve as natural sunglasses and work
to protect you from UV rays whilst adhering to your prescription requirements.
Some people however, find it uncomfortable to use as the color change is
automatic and depends solely on light exposure. They are however on the higher

available over glasses

sunglasses with prescription power, clip on glasses and fit-over sunglasses.
Custom made sunglasses are those that have polarized lenses that meet the
prescription requirements of the wearer. They are comparatively more expensive
with added charges for additional lens features like scratch resistance or for
specifications as to the frame style.
Clip-on glasses is another
option in the over glasses sunglass spectra. They are sunglasses that can be,
as the name suggests, clipped on to the top of your regular prescription
spectacles. They are a much more economical option in comparison with the
polarized sunglasses and can be further easily attached or removed making them
more preferable. Clip-ons are readily available locally.
Fit-over sunglasses
can be considered to be the commercially produced alternative to the DIY over
glasses sunglass solution. It is built to suit that particular purpose – i.e.
to be placed over prescription spectacles so as to fully cover them and offer
complete protection to the eyes from harmful UV rays. In terms of look, they do
not look any different than any other regular sunglass but they are however
built like a lightweight shell so as to fit snugly over regular prescription
spectacles.
