Style Guide: Brown Leather Shoes for men

by Mike Tyler Fashion Enthusiast

History of Brown Leather Shoe:

The brown shoe is a symbol of the formal shoe, one who speaks to the traditions, pride and power of wearing a premium shoe. The Brown Shoe is a men's dress shoe, developed in the US in the mid-1800s from English leather shoes. The early styles were equally suitable for walking, with high heels and narrow toes – as was appropriate for formal wear of that period.

Made with a full-grain leather upper, the Brown Shoe is light and flexible thanks to our handcrafted Goodyear™ construction. A special two-tone sole is combined with a non-marking rubber outsole to keep your steps sure and steady. Barker used natural rubber in his insoles to make them even more comfortable.

Types of Brown Shoes-

  • Oxfords Shoes

  • Derby Shoes

  • Loafer Shoes

  • Boots

  • Monk Straps Shoes

  • Sneakers

  • Brogue Shoes

Oxford Shoes:

With our signature Goodyear welted construction and sleek styling, the Brown Oxford(Close lacing System) is timeless in its design. Suiting any gentleman, this shoe pairs just as well with a suit for the office as it does a pair of chinos for after-hours. This shoe also features our exclusive Shock Mitigation System, which helps absorb impact during every step. Stylish, lightweight, and comfortable.

Brown Oxford shoes are suitable for both casual and semi formal occasions. Just as you need to wear matching socks with this type of shoe, you also have a wide variety of choices in the form of shoes.

Derby Shoes:

Brown Derby Shoe features a molded and contoured footbed for maximum comfort. The open lacing system offers the convenience of pull-on styling while maintaining a classic look. The leather upper is handcrafted, tumbled, and polished by expert artisans for a rich, soft feel and pleasant aroma.

Brown derby shoes are, in my opinion, the most versatile – you can basically wear it with anything. I usually style mine with pants and short dresses during summer.

Loafer Shoes:

Every gentleman should own a brown loafer. These shoes are the most versatile in your wardrobe, as they can be paired with just about any pants, shirt, and sport coat combination that you have. From the office to the golf course to dinner at a fine restaurant, these shoes will look good and feel comfortable throughout.
