Stuck with publishing your Business App on Playstore? Here is the Correct Roadmap for you.
Owning a full-fledged mobile app will do you no good unless you publish it on the app marketplace like Playstore. People will be able to access your business application and benefit from it only when it is available on the Play Store for them to use. Which gives the crux to our article on How you can publish your Android App on Google’s PlayStore?
Here is all you need to know…
PreRequisites for an Android App launch on Playstore
A Google Publisher Account to publish and manage your app in the future.
A Signed APK to distribute and facilitate the installation of the application.
App Icon of 512 x 512 and 32-bit needs to be uploaded in PNG format only.
A feature graphic of 1024 x 500 in JPEG format and 24-bit size with no alpha.
Make sure to have a short and long description of your application for the play store to display.
Step-Wise Guidance to Publish Your Android Application on Playstore:
Accept the ‘Developer Distribution Agreement’ and create a paid ‘Google Developer Account’ for $25. Enter the Developer’s name to display on your live page. App Registration takes 2 days to process.
You need to create a ‘Merchant Account’ in case you have any paid feature in your application. To do so, go to Google play console > Download Reports > Financial. The account lets you manage your payments.
Create your app by going to All Application > then select Create Application > Default Language > App Title > Create. You will now be redirected to Playstore’s entry page.
Prepare a graph of Store Listings by adding details such as product description, graphic asset, language and translations, app category, contact details and privacy policy.
Under store listings, write the description (long and short) of every product you plan to list. Start with Title (50 charac), then highlight (80 charac) and long description (4000 charac). Try including keywords.
Enter graphic assets like images, screenshots, promotional videos etc. App icon of high resolution (with correct specification) is mandatory. Include as much media as you can to attract customers.
Language and translations are a must if you want to connect with a larger crowd. Translations can be added with the major functions of the app.
Under store listings, mention the category of your app. Gaming, payment, education, healthcare, etc. Adding a content rating is optional.
Mention your contact details. Do not limit yourself to phone numbers only. Nowadays people are giving social media links as well. Help your clients get in touch with you in case of any discrepancy or inconvenience.
Upload privacy policy for your customers ensuring the safety of basic details they enter. Attach the link of the business privacy policy to your app. You are free to make changes in the privacy policy before your app goes live.
Upload APK for app’s release on the Play store. For app release, select the app made in Step-3 and locate Release Management and App Release. You can choose whether to release it for testing or public use.
Fill the content rating questionnaire. Do not fill in any misleading information.
Mention your app is free for paid for the user. Under price and distribution.
Go to ‘Review’ > “Review and Rollout Release” > check the information provided by you > click ‘Confirm Rollout’.
With the last step, your app will be live on Google Playstore.
