Everyone loves to go on a vacation, travel to a new place and explore new domains of the world, but for some of you there is something that causes you to lose that excitement, that craze and ditch all the plans and starting thinking about the negatives. Surely, you would have watched videos or heard about places, thought of being there and even browsed through tour packages, but thinking of the bad scenarios clouds your excitement and you return to your monotonous life. Here are a few remedies for your fears.

Stepping out of the routine feels impossible

You tend to get too comfortable with your routine, worried about your duties and errands; you find it difficult to set them aside and consider planning a vacation. You tend to worry more about, ‘who would take care of them when I’m not here?’ kind of questions. A perfect solution would be listing out the worst case scenario and consider assigning the job to someone else while you are gone.

The fear of communication, the language barrier

This is a common matter of concern for most travellers. You seem to worry about not being able to communicate with the others, or not being understood. You fear that lack of communication might get you into some trouble. But this isn’t much of an issue, as you can find travel guides, and also learning the common terms and greetings might come in handy. Have technology at your disposal.

You and your flying phobia

First of all, the chances of something going wrong up in the sky are piffling. The protocols and safety measures are pretty strict and technology has evolved considerably, so give up on that fear. Secondly, if you really are so scared of flying, consider taking the ground route. You have buses, train and cars to travel the distances.

Fear of being cheated or robbed

There is nothing that you can do about it, and also it isn’t that you are safe at home. Avoiding being robbed is all about being cautious and attentive. So, if this is the reason for you to give up on your travel plans, just give up on the idea. All you can do is be informed about the area and don’t carry valuables carelessly.

The trip is too expensive, that’s just an excuse

No one is asking you to spend too much on a vacation. There are multiple ways to manage your expenses. Secondly, if you are driven enough to take a trip, consider saving for it. Also, you don’t have to go on long vacations and take the high road; keep it simple and low profile. Travelling is all about taking a break.

Worried about falling sick or injured

These concerns are understandable, but it doesn’t mean you would give on travelling. Agreed, that in some places, food or climate might make you sick or you might get into an accident. Well, about the food and climate, all you can do is take along some medication and also avoid eating at unfamiliar places or items, make a thorough research. And about the accidents, just try being safe and yes, every place has got doctors. So you are perfectly safe.

So to end with the discussion, YES travelling to a new place raise many concerns, some are stupid while some of genuine but, this doesn’t mean you would give up on travelling. Put aside your fears and make a move. No doubt, most people love travelling and going out on a vacation.
