Full lace wigs are made on full lace cap. They are made from good quality virgin hair. They can be styled in different ways and last longer. Lace wigs are normally good for people suffering massive hair loss or for those who wish to change their style.Full lace wigs look natural when used in a proper way. So it is important to know how to use full lace wig in a correct way.

Accessories Needed:

Some supplies are needed to help you prepare the scalp and apply the wig rightly. Things required for the scalp preparation are cotton pads, alcohol and skin protector.

Things required for wig application are sharp scissors, a soft bristles comb, silk head scarf, a wig cap that matches the color of your scalp and a few lace wig adhesives.

Step 1: Skin test of the lace wig adhesive

The first and foremost thing to be done is to see which lace wig adhesive is suitable for your skin.

Step 2: Prepare the scalp and the hair

Exfoliate the scalp at least 24 hours before application of the adhesive. A clean scalp helps in securing the adhesive bond for a longer time.

Tie the hair with a scarf avoiding any sorts of lumps. The next is to wear the wig cap properly adjusting to the front hairline avoiding any hair strands outside it.

Use cotton pads dampened in alcoholto clean the skin around the hairline. The dirt and skin oils may prevent the adhesive from forming a strong bond. Next use a scalp protector that will decrease the skin irritation due to the adhesive to some extent.

Step 3: Prepare the lace wig

The full lace wig has some extra lace in front of it. First time users need to trim this excess lace. Place the wig properly on your head; tuck all the hair strands backwards with pins. Trim the lace with sharp scissors carefully avoiding cutting any hair strand.

Step 4: Apply the full lace wig

Using cotton swabs apply wig adhesive around the hairline. Give time for the adhesive to dry as given in the instructions. Tie the wig in a ponytail to avoid wig hairs falling on the adhesive. Position the wig properly working slowly in small sections. The middle of the wig hairline should line up with your mid hairline. Then using a fine toothed soft bristles comb press the wig securing it in place. Style the wig as you wish at least after an hour.

Washing is not recommended for the next 24 hours as this can loosen the bond of the adhesive. A lace closure issued at the crown of the head along with some bundles of hair sewn to it and in the frontal side adhesive is used. This gives a more natural look. Alcohol can be used to remove any excess adhesive in the forehead along the hairline.
