We are an affiliate of Faust Harrison Pianos, the NY-Area`s leading piano dealer and exclusive retailer for Yamaha, Bosendorfer, Bechstein, Mason & Hamlin and Fazioli pianos, with piano stores in Manhattan, Westchester, Long Island and Connecticut.
We started 35 years ago when our founder, Sara Faust, began a piano company that was guided from the start by the knowledge she derived from her background as a professional concert pianist. Sara won a number of prestigious international piano competitions including Concert Artist’s Guild and the first New York Chopin competition. She also performed widely, including a sold out solo performance at Carnegie Hall.
For Sara’s performance career, she sought the best possible pianos. Her favorites were the “Golden Era” Steinway piano that had a special magical tone that tended to be lacking in new Steinways. Her dilemma was that the great old Steinways were in need of restoration but the shops that were restoring pianos at the time were producing only mediocre quality instruments. So she hired the best craftsmen and technicians she could find (including some former Steinway & Sons craftsmen) to rebuild her vintage Steinways, and she guided them to restore the pianos to their full former glory. Sara was thrilled to practice and perform on the great vintage Steinway pianos that she was resurrecting. When word spread in the piano community that she was producing these wonderful instruments, pianists from around the country began buying them. Thus, a small side business emerged, which ultimately led to a full scale enterprise.

Our modernized 15,000 sq. ft. factory of Steinway pianos in NYC is home to our expert craftsmen who apply the most advanced techniques and materials to their trade. We bring worn “Golden Era” Steinway pianos back to their full former glory, to a level of musical and artistic beauty that was for many years the piano standard of the world.
For 35 years, restoring thousands of Steinways in New York City, we have developed proprietary techniques, built specialized equipment, mastered every facet of piano design and mechanics, and hired and trained the most talented craftsmen and technicians in the industry. This is what it takes to produce the type of rebuilt Steinway piano that only we can produce.
