Digital marketing has augmented itself mammoth in the past few years, embracing all the aspects like social media, SEO Services, etc. With the ever increasing evolution of digital marketing, it’s really difficult to decide which aspect holds the priority.

Just to resolve this, a survey was conducted involving many industry professionals from different fields who honestly conveyed their opinions about the same.

All the findings are given below:

1. Do you audit your new SEO clients?

There were mixed reviews as 44% professionals were absolutely sure but one-third were unambiguous with their choice and the remaining 23% refused to audit their new clients at all.

2. How often should you monitor your SEO performance?

The poll showed that most of them were quite convinced with a half yearly roundup while 29% wanted a more frequent, monthly check on their status. There was a fair share of 15% inclined towards yearly checkup. What’s interesting to see was few of them weren’t clear and few wanted to prolong it for five years

3. What is your monthly SEO expenditure?

Out of all; 23% spent up to $50, while a few more professionals spent between $50 to $300. Around one-fifth spent close to $1000 and 14% were not clear about the expenditure. What’s surprising to notice was companies spending as much as $5000 and more, 7% & 6% respectively to be precise on SEOs monthly.

4. How do you measure the effectiveness of your social media campaign?

39% analyzed it through the comments and likes whereas 31% felt that actual conversation with visitors confirms their engagement. Around 13% believed traffic density is enough to measure the effectiveness. Only 2% professionals felt that people who follow their campaign prove its worth and 6% were satisfied only with people reaching to them. 9% had no idea of how to find out.

5. Which social media platform you prefer the most?

No prizes for guessing since the most popular choice was Facebook with 62% votes followed by Linkedin and Twitter with 13% & 12% respectively. 7% preferred visual networks and only 4% believed in other microblogging sites. To everyone’s surprise, Google+ got mere 2% votes.

6. Do you think Facebook is effective?

As much as 80% showed their faith in Facebook but 18% weren’t amused with its potency. Only 2% were indecisive.

7. How much do you spend on PPC campaigns monthly?

17% and 18% spent up to $50 and $300 respectively whereas around 12% spent between $1000 to $5000. 16% spent even more than $5000 monthly. More than one-fifth, i.e 22% weren’t so sure about their expenditure.

8. What is your average CTR for PPC?

20% and 28% felt their average CTR was between 1-2 & 2-3 percent respectively whereas 20% believed it was more than 3 percent. Only 4% had below 1 percent with 28% people being unambiguous with their figures.
