The SRM University Engineering Entrance Exam or SRMEEE is conducted by SRM University to admit candidates to engineering courses in its University campuses. Candidates will be admitted to the University on the basis of their merit ranks in SRMEEE 2016. The entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted in April 2015 in both online and offline modes. Candidates who wish to fill in applications for SRMEEE 2016 can do so via SRM University's official website after ascertaining the eligibility criteria. Important Dates:

• Availability of SRMEEE 2016 Application Forms: 3 November 2014 to 10 March 2015.
• Slot Booking for SRMEEE 2015: 26 March 2015 to 30 March 2015.
• SRMEEE 2015 Exam Date: 19 April 2015 to 22 April 2015 in online mode;
• 26 April 2015 in offline mode.
• Declaration of Results: 4 May 2015.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility specifics for SRMEEE 2016 are as follows:

• Candidates should have completed Class XII or its equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates who would be completing Class XII before admission, are also eligible to apply.
• The candidate should have secured 70% or above in PCM/PCB for admissions to engineering courses in the University.

Application Form:

There are two modes of registration for candidates who wish to fill in the SRMEEE 2016 Application Form:

• Candidates can either register online via SRM University's official URL www.srmuniv.ac.in/admissions and make payment of the processing fee online or candidates can fill in downloaded application forms and send the same to the University office, along with a DD for Rs.900, drawn in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai before the last specified date.

• Candidates can obtain the SRMEEE 2015 Application Forms directly from across specific branches of Indian Bank, Axis Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, City Union Bank and selected post offices of India, upon payment of Rs.900. The completed application forms should be send to the University office before the last specified date.

Admit Card:
SRM University will issue Hall Tickets or Admit cards to eligible candidates who have submitted application forms that are complete in all respects. The admit cards can be downloaded from the University's official website and candidates should ensure that they take a printout of the same. The admit card or Hall ticket will contain important information such as the candidate's name,photograph and the test schedule. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the exam, only on producing a valid admit card.

Exam Pattern:
SRMEEE 2016 will have four sections. Marks will be divided between the four sections in the following manner:

• The sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will have 35 questions each. A total weightage of 105 marks will be given to each of these sections.
• The fourth section will be on Biology which will have a total of 50 questions for 105 marks.
• Candidates will be penalized of 1 mark for every wrong answer indicated in the Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics sections.
• A penalty of 0.7 marks will be imposed for every wrong answer indicated in the biology section.

Results:
The results for the entrance examination will be published on the University's official website. A merit list will be prepared thereafter, on the basis of candidates scores in SRMEEE 2015. Candidates will be called for counseling on the basis of their SRMEEE 2015 Ranks. Candidates can download their counseling letter and counseling record from the University's official website.
