The Honda Acty Truck is a compact cabover Kei truck produced in 1977. It is solely aimed at the Japanese Domestic Market and designed to be a more practical, economical, and working vehicle that becomes one of the favorites in the market.

Engines and Features

The first generation Honda Acty truck was first introduced in 1977 with a wheelbase of 1,850 mm (72.8 in). It has small and compact dimensions but comes with good performance and practicality. The Acty truck comes with a water-cooled engine called the EH engine which is equipped with a 545cc 2-cylinder SOHC. It delivers power and torque of 28PS (20.6 kW), 41Nm (30 lb-ft) with a three-speed Hondamatic gearbox.

The second generation was released in March 1988 - 1999 with the engine model of E05A and EN07A. It comes with a redesigned 656cc E07A engine with power and torque of 38PS (28 kW), 54 Nm (40 lb-ft). It is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with a top speed of 115 km/h (71 mph), while a 105 km/h (65 mph) for a four-wheel drive version.

The third generation was released in May 1999 - 2009 with added features, power, fuel efficiency, airbags, and power steering. The equipped engine was a 656cc E07Z 3-cylinder with a power of 53PS (39 kW) and torque of 61 Nm (45 lb-ft) for 4WD models. It has a load capacity from 250kg (552lbs) to 350kg (772lbs).

The fourth-generation HA8 (2WD) and HA9 series (4WD) were introduced in December 2009. The midship layout remains where the engine is placed under the bed of the truck. The Acty truck has increased the cabin space thus decreasing its wheelbase to 1,900 mm (74.8 in). It also comes with airbags, keyless entry, power windows, power steering, and anti-lock brakes. The same engine has been used in the 656cc E07Z SOHC 3-cylinder with power and torque of 45 PS (33 kW), 59Nm (43.52lb-ft). The load capacity is 350kg (772lbs) with fuel consumption between 15.40 km/L - 18.40 km/L.
