India Gate
Delhi is associated with the famous moment, India Gate. Built-in 1931, India Gate is a memorial that has names engraved on its walls of the martyrs of the World War I and the Afghanistan war. The monument has Amar Jawan Jyoti, a flame of the immortal soldiers, which is also a major attraction for tourists as the flame never dies. It also has a National War Memorial that also has names of many soldiers who lost their lives saving their country. The best time to visit the place is during autumn and winter seasons.

Qutub Minar

Yet another tourist attraction, Qutub Minar, is a 73 meters tall minaret made of bricks. Made with red stones, it has five floors with scriptures and chiselled carvings. It was built by Mughal ruler Qutub-ud-din Aibak. The entry fee for this place is quite reasonable.

Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is the world’s largest sundial that was built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur in 1724. It has instruments that were used for Indian astronomy, but due to the high-rise buildings, these instruments are no longer used. However, it is still considered to be a great place to have a glimpse of Indian science in the field of astronomy.

Akshardham Temple
Akshardham temple is one of the largest Hindu temples across the globe. Made of pink stones and white marbles, the temple has stunning architecture. It has a theme-based garden that is worth visiting. One can also enjoy the boat ride in the temple. Sahaj Anand water show is another attraction in this temple. The temple can be viewed from Delhi’s Metro.

Purana Quila
Old fort or popularly known as Purana Quila is a must-visit place in Delhi. It is a must-visit place during the evening to enjoy the sound and light show and also go for boating in the nearby lake.

Shankar’s International Dolls Museum
This museum is one of the best places to visit, especially if your children with you. The dolls displayed in the museum have costumes that have been collected from across the world, such as the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Asian countries, etc. The dolls have been collected from more than 85 countries.

Chandni Chowk
If you are in Delhi and have not visited the old side of it, then for sure, you are missing on a lot. Chandni Chowk is considered to the heart of Delhi. Even though it has narrow roads and lanes, the street is filled with various items at very low prices. The street food in the area is something you should not miss to eat.
