Solve past year ICSE question papers for class 10 for better results
by Diya Johns Tutor and ConsultantHome tuition also known as private tuition is fast
catching up in Mumbai as a means to help children succeed academically.
With the increasing pressure to excel and the
non-availability of individual attention in schools and tuition centres, more
and more parents are leaning towards the idea of home tuitions in
Mumbai.
So, what
exactly is home tuition? Home tuition is receiving help/guidance to excel in
academics. In this method, the tutor goes to a student's place and personally
coaches the child. This method is in sharp contrast to the regular tuition centres,
where the child has to travel to a common place, where the tutor imparts
knowledge. In this scenario, we cannot expect individual attention to be given
to the child. In India, we find that many parents and students rely on tuition centres
conducted by the teachers of the same school. However, with the change in the
education methods, people are welcoming the idea of home tuitions by
well-educated and experienced people.
There are a number of advantages of taking home tuitions in Mumbai. Here
are some of them.
Individual attention: The first advantage is of
individual attention. The child gets all the attention required to help him/her
with the understanding and strengthening of the concepts that is required to
excel. Usually the large chunk of the paper comes from NCERT books and if one
covers that well, the probability to score better in exam increases. Home
tutors, give individual attention and make it a point to help the student solve
every question given in NCERT books. For instance, if your kid is in class 8th,
they’ll help them with all the NCERT solutions for class 8. This is usually not covered in
schools and group tuitions. This means the probability of your child performing
better increases.
Distractions: Many of us find that distractions to be
one of the reasons for lower grades. With personalised tuition, there are fewer
chances of distractions, thereby helping children to learn better.
Ease of learning - Home tutoring helps the child learn
from the comfort of your own home, which means that he/she does not have to
travel and parents do not have to worry about the safety of the child. This in
turn gives the child ample time for indulging in activities of their choice.
Encourage interactivity – When a student studies in a
home tuition, he will not be shy to ask as many questions as needed. This means
all his concepts would be clear before appearing for the exams.
Coverage of topics- The home tutors make the students
study from previous year CBSE or ICSE question papers for class 10, thus they
are better equipped with the syllabus.
Monitoring by the parents - Yes, parents can monitor their child's progress in real time and any change in teaching methods, knowledge sharing etc. can be worked out accordingly. As a result a student scores better when given personal attention.
