Social objectives of Girija Welfare Association by Mr.Navin Kumar Kunjaru

India is a country of billions belonging to different castes, cultures and religions. Despite of numerous drawbacks and social barriers, Indians have managed to create a name for themselves across the world. India has excelled in every field from astronomy to space travel.

Inspite of all these achievements, we are still termed as one of the “developing nations”. We face problems such as corruption, unemployment, illiteracy, underemployment, high population growth rate etc. Amongst all these barriers, poverty is the major issue that we face.

Poverty is considered as the mother of all social evils. In a country like India, it has given rise to social crimes, inequality, child labor, irregular distribution of educational and medical facilities and various other issues. Often the state and central government find it difficult to reach the people at the right time and help them out.

This is when NGOs like Girija Welfare Association come into picture. Girija Welfare Association was established by Mr. Navin Kumar Kunjaru, the founder of Globcom groups. Mr. Kunjaru is an MBA graduate and an international trader by profession. Despite of his busy schedule he makes it a point to contribute to the society.

This charitable organisation was created with a noble intention of bringing the Indian community together and aiding the needy. This Navi Mumbai based charitable organisation has been helping people since 2004. Apart from helping the right people, it has also played an important role in spreading awareness about various government initiatives.

Over the past decade, under the leadership of Mr. Navin Kumar Kunjaru; Girija Welfare Association has undertaken various social projects. The initiative promoted by this NGO ranges from child education to rural development.

Major areas of work for Girija Welfare Association :

With an intention of making difference to the society, Girija Welfare Association has been working in different areas such as

- Affordable Health Care
- Blood donation for underprivileged patients,
- Equal distribution of the basic amenities
- Equal rights and opportunities for men and women
- Aiding HIV/AIDS patients
- Aiding Cancer patients
- Supporting the underprivileged
- Establishment of affordable school, colleges, hospitals, clinics and medical camps.
- Awareness regarding human rights and various government facilities.
- Preservation and Conservation of Environment

Apart from all these critical social initiatives, this NGO has also managed to bring the youth closer to the society.

For the past few years, this trust has been doing quite an impressive task in supporting orphan kids. With this initiative the trust established  an orphanage “Girija Balgruh” to provide food, clothing and education to these kids.
