Self drilling rock bolt support has many advantages, such as instant bearing, large pretension force, good support effect, low labor strength and low cost, etc. Nowadays, self drilling rock bolt technology has become an effective way to realize high efficiency and production. During construction process, there are several questions needs to be noticed:

Pretension force of self drilling rock bolt should be used adequately. The bottom of self drilling rock bolt should cling tightly to palisades, in order to play functions of reinforcement and combination.
Keep tunnel roof and working areas level, try not to destroy the integrity of tunnel roof and increase vibration of blasting. Avoid surroundings forming stress concentration and then ensure tunnel’s stability.
Self drilling rock bolt on tunnel roof should not all vertical with roof direction, but radial pattern. Cement grouting should fully fill cracks among broken rocks to ensure self drilling rock bolt has enough anchoring force.
Self drilling rock bolt should have support and protect structures to produce certain anchoring force and then form active support.

Self drilling rock bolt’s quality directly relates to support effect and project’s security. Self drilling rock bolt with high quality and superior performance should be developed to improve self drilling rock bolt’s support level.
