Successful Server Relocation is an exact science which MacColl Media have certainly worked hard to master, with their extensive experience successfully completing many projects, all of which were either complex, time-constrained, or with a limited available downtime window for Server Transport and re-installation made more challenging by location and distance, or a combination of all the above.
Our services for Server Relocation are completely scalable, and we can handle projects from a single CPU to an entire rack of servers, back-up devices, network switches and panels, power supply back-up systems.
Meticulous planning, preparation and project management are all key factors in and successful Server Relocation, together with the experience to be flexible with the challenges that can arise. Communication and fully understanding our client’s requirements is paramount long before the final Server Transport phase, to ensure the service endures minimum system downtime and disruption.
MacColl Media utilise their own in-house team of experts for overseeing every stage of the process of Server Relocation, making sure all aspects of the extensive preparation are documented and the project is carried out and completed efficiently. Our trained technicians attend the site to take care of the back-up & shutdown, de-cabling and dismantling of racks and hardware, and packing into our own highly secure flight case protective housings for safe Server Transport to the new location.
While our own fleet of vans physically provide the Server Transport to the new site, our technicians will attend in advance to ensure all power requirements, cabling and network infrastructure are prepared and set-up for successful completion of the Server Relocation.
This same team will then unpack, reassemble, re-cable and re-install the hardware at the new site, followed by recommissioning the software and configurations ready for use.
Only after the Server Relocation project is fully re-installed, back up and running totally to our client’s satisfaction will we consider the job to be completed.
