Second Hand Tractor Vs New
by Divya S. Content WriterBuying used tractors may seem like an affordable
ergo more reasonable choice by many. But the risks involved with the
transaction are plenty to ignore. There are a variety of basics one needs to
consider before buying a second-hand
tractor to reduce all the risk factors involved in the purchase. I am
sharing with you my experience when I set out to buy a compact tractor for my
farm & how I eventually made the best choice that there was.
I own a small piece of ancestral land near my
village where my father used to cultivate a variety of seasonal vegetables. He
died a while back but I decided to maintain the farm. I came into an
arrangement with one of the farmers whom I hired to take care of the farm &
keep growing various seasonal crops on it. It is then he told me to buy a second-hand tractor as he obviously
could not cultivate the farm manually. I agreed and set out to look for used tractors for sale.
After searching on the web for used tractors I realized that I didn’t
have enough budget to fancy myself a professional farming tractor. More so the
farm war relatively small and a professional tractor will not be helpful in it
as it would need more space for maneuverability. After a short conversation
with my uncle, I decided to look at used
compact tractors instead as I believed them to be the more affordable
option.
What I needed in my second hand tractor are some basic features
such as the capability to attach a variety of implements, a front-end loader to
be able to dig & lift various spaces, and a powerful yet efficient engine.
I knew that some of the good compact tractor companies offer compact tractors
that come with such features. So I searched around for some used compact tractors. But to my surprise,
these used tractors for sale turned out to
be costing almost as much as the cost of used professional tractor.
This time I went to the farmer I had hired to
take care of the farm for some consultation. He told me that rather than
looking at old tractors for sale
I should look at some of the new ones. He told me that there is always a high
demand for used compact tractors in
the market which keeps their price unreasonably high. He told me that I should
look at the compact tractors by Solis as they fully featured as much as a
professional farming tractor, and a better investment than buying used tractors.
Their showroom was nearby my farm so I went to
the place. There I told them about all my disappointments when I was looking
for used compact tractors for sale. Here,
they showed me their two compact tractors Solis 20 & 26. Both of them were
sufficiently featured & came with the option for a front-end-loader which
was necessary to clean the farm soil of the old stalk & roots. Both had the
ability to attach a variety of implements with ease & came with a roll-bar,
adding more value to they buy. But I only gave up my decision to buy used compact tractors
after I was convinced about the affordability & reliability of these
two machines.
In my conclusion to this post, I would tell those out in the market to look for used compact tractors for sale is that they should revise their choice. Old compact tractors are never affordable & there is no guarantee that you won’t be duped in the purchase. I bought my Solis 26 the very day I went to their showroom, and it has been cultivating prosperity at my farm for about two years now. So rather than looking at the process as just buying.
