Starting from early November and till late February, winter season in Delhi is characterized by cold winds and foggy mornings. People keep themselves warm with the help of bonfires and hot beverages. But winter in Delhi is a treat for the eyes. Enjoying a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter morning is blissful, afternoons are warm and nights are spent snuggling into the blanket. I had been away from Delhi for the last 3 years, and I really missed Delhi’s winters. My college was over, now I could finally go back to Delhi and I was really excited.

I took a morning flight from Mumbai to Delhi, and arrived in Delhi around 8 am in the morning. The warm sun rays greeted me with love and the cold winter air felt fresh as ever. The drive to home was going to belong, hence I decided to get down at CP and have my breakfast. CP is the most vibrant place in Delhi, with its hustle and bustle, pretty cafes & restaurants, showrooms, and flea markets. Today, I wanted to try something new. So I started looking for a French pastry shop near me.

I googled for French pastry shop near me and started looking for the best options. That is when I came across Brioche Doree- the first authentic French bakery of its kind in CP. I was elated and started reading all about it. The reviews of this place were great, the menu seemed quite refreshing from other cafes in CP. Brioche Doree is a French food chain giant with a global presence and serving authentic French food. It was launched in India by Haldiram’s in a vegetarian avatar, catering to all kinds of people with a knack for French delicacies. I was really excited to try out their range of delectable French cuisines.

I got me a car parked in a corner and then started looking for Brioche Doree. It was located in a quaint corner of CP in M-Block. I was famished and ready to gorge on the heavenly delights. As soon as I entered the bakery, the heavenly aroma of soft mousses and cookies fresh out of the oven greeted me. The first thought that came to my mind was that Brioche Doree was definitely the best French pastry shop near me. The ambiance of the place washed away all my tiredness and I was instantly feeling refreshed. The soft music playing in the background complimented the vibe of the place.

As I scanned through the café, it was filled with all kinds of delectable bread, muffins, croissants, and pastries. I was left spoilt for choice deciding what to order first. I took a seat and started browsing through the menu. This French pastry shop near me was tempting my taste buds for sure. The reviews said that their croissants, quiches & French Baguette with Brie are absolutely delightful and hard to miss. So I settled for French Baguette with Brie, a Vanilla tea for the soul and the classic croissant.

As I waited for my food, I wondered how life had changed in the last 3 years. So many things had changed about Delhi, but it still made me feel homely. Sitting at this pretty café made me feel warm and welcomed. Right between my thoughts, my order was ready. I thoroughly enjoyed the multigrain baguette served with a delicious spread. The croissants were super-soft and filled with melt-in-the-mouth chocolate. Lastly, the vanilla tea was just what I needed to end my meal with. I left the place whole-hearted and content.
