SCR An Essential Electronic Component

SCR or Silicon Controlled Rectifier is used in all forms of electronic circuits. It controls an excessive current reaching out to a circuit, if that current is not controlled, it may affect the entire circuit. Once the current passes over from the circuit, the entire circuit gets current but at the first place the current has to pass over from SCR. It is the major equipment connected to a power supply, it gets the current and further filters it over. You need to be aware of its functionality in order to get maximum benefit out of it. Because it is not working well, a high intensity current will reach out to circuit and can damage the entire circuit.

SCR comes in variety of sizes, the size of it do vary depending upon the size of the electronic equipment. If electronic equipment is having a bigger size, you will need to have this component in a bigger size. If electronic equipment is smaller in size, you will need to have it in a smaller size.

It is made up of silicon material, which is very much resistant to electricity and different sources of energy. It is very helpful to absorb high beam of current, further you see a continuous wave of current supplied to a load.
