SBI to Endorse E-transactions at GKSF
In an effort to endorse cashless transaction and
digital banking in Kerala, State Bank of India (SBI) has signed a partnership
with a startup organization, Ezetap, to enable e-payment at the continuing
Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) on an extensive scale. As per this
tie-up, clients will be motivated to utilize debit cards instead of hard cash.
On using debit cards, users will get an extra ‘GKSF lucky-draw voucher’ on the
electronic bill slip given by Ezetap as well as the printed one. SBI is also incentivizing
GKSF-listed mercantile to gain entry to Ezetap’s mPOS terminals for Unified
Card and/ or Digital Payment Acceptance so as to offer rebate on the monthly
fees (for up to three months). This is also expected to increase sales at the
fest. Since the GKSF started a week ago, over 50 lacs vouchers have been sold
already. This SBI initiative has made Kerala one of the first states in India
to endorse cashless economy. This is in compliance with the Union Budget for
2015. For Online Payment use IFSC code for SBI.
