Cleaning nails and paws of a cat:

A cat needs healthy paws and nails as they perform variety of tasks such as scratching, climbing or silently landing. With the proper care tips stated here, these could remain healthy and athletic:

·         Check the paw of your pet to find any cuts, bruises, splinters or swells that might have occurred. Carefully wash these with clean water mixed with prescribed antiseptic liquid. If the wounds are severe, take the cat immediately to a veterinarian lest it would have an infection.

·         If the nails are long, cut them with prescribed clippers taking care of the nerves that run into them.

·         Wash the paws and nails with water and soap regularly so as to have clean feet.

·         Cut any extra hair that are present near the paws and might interfere in the walking process.
