Samir and Dipalee

It is rare to find people who pursue two professions successfully and such that they excel in both at a level where they justify both their vocations. One such person is Singer Performer and Architect Samir Date.

A well known name in the music industry, Samir has been the playback singer for numerous hindi films like Parampara, Jazbaat, Fauj and more recently Emotional Atyachar and Hang Up. Samir is from a family of gifted musicians. His is the son of Ravi Date, a renowned music composer and his uncle is Arun Date, a very famous Marathi singer.

Samir got his first break singing for film “MAINE PYAR KIYA” English version titled When Love Calls,which Samir sang all the songs. What followed was series of bollywood playback offers and songs in films like PARAMPARA in which he sung for Aamir Khan under the baton of Music Director Shiv Hari and Director Yash Chopra. He followed this up by singing 2 duets with Asha Bhosle in film JAZBAAT. He has also sung playback for various Marathi and other regional films.
