Although the train ride to the Taj Mahal from Delhi is so popular with travelers from all over the world, some travelers prefer to travel to Agra by road.

Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and was completed in 1653. Emperor Shah Jahan had employed 20,000 workers over 22 years to complete this marvel. Besides the Taj Mahal, there are many more sight-seeing monuments that tell the story of a rich Mughal era, such as Agra Fort, Sikandara, and Fatehpur Sikiri.
