RRB Group D 2021 Exam: Find Complete Syllabus & Important Topics

RRB conducts the group D exam each year to recruit candidates for the posts of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant, & Assistant Pointsman. To prepare for this exam, candidates must leave no stone unturned as there is a lot of competition for the RRB Group D exam. One must prepare for this exam with focus and planning so as to clear the exam easily. For this, candidates must be well aware of the complete Railway Group D syllabus so that they can know the crucial topics to be studied for the examination. The RRB Group D Examination is conducted via three stages:


  • Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

General Science: 


  • Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of the 10th standard level (CBSE).

  • Physics includes topics such as work & Motion, Lens, Work energy, Electricity, etc. Chemistry will include Basic Reactions, chemistry in everyday life, periodic tables, Acid Bases & Salt. Biology will comprise both plant & human analogy.

  • The general science subject includes questions from Physics, Chemistry & Life Science of the 10th standard level. These questions basically test your knowledge of everyday observation and experience in the scientific aspect.

  • The Qs will be related to Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Astronomy and Space Technology, Computers and Mobile Technology, Inventions and Discoveries, Nutrition, Military Technology, Diseases, etc. 


General Awareness: 


In the general awareness RRB Group D Syllabus 2021, candidates must prepare about topics such as Science & Technology, Sports, culture, personalities, economics, politics and any other subject of importance. 



Current Affairs

Art and Culture, Awards and Honors, Business and Economy, Books and Authors, Committees, and Recommendations. National Affairs, People in News, Places in News, Defense News, Days and Events, Government Policies and Schemes, Sports, Capitals and Currencies, Appointments and Resignations.

Geography

Indian Geography (National Park & Centuries, Wildlife Centuries, etc.)

History

Indian Freedom Struggle, Ancient History, Medieval History, Post Independence History.

Polity

Constitution of India, Government Portfolios, etc.

Economics

Indian Economy, Economic Organizations, World Economy, Business, Economic Theory, Economic Reforms.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)


In this round, candidates are supposed to meet the physical requirements specified by RRB. 


Candidates must fulfill the following requirements: 


Male Candidates

  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down

  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates

  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down

  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one.


Medical Test and Document Verification 

This is the final stage of the examination where candidates are required to submit their documents specified by RRB for verification, following this they have to take the medical test.
