Both my dad and mom are people’s person. So when the furnishing of our new house was taking place, they choose to get a marble floor for each and every room. I agree it added quite an aesthetic appeal to our humble abode. We are a joint family so naturally we had a lot of rooms for a lot of people. The heat in summer was bearable because of the cold floor, but also because dad managed to set a centralised AC in our house. But winter was difficult. There were no central heating system and we would have had to get a lot of room heaters and still, that wouldn’t have been enough. It was such a memorable winter. As if everyone was fighting to survive the cold. The elders started spreading carpets and mats to cover the chilly floors. But we kids knew it would hardly make a difference, so together we sat in our study with our laptops and mobile devices and started browsing online for various room heaters that the whole family could afford. We pooled all our gathered information and found the following.

Widely Bought Room Heaters Online

Almost all electric room heaters are 100% efficient. They convert all the electrical energy they consume into heat energy. But the problem is all of the models don’t distribute the same into the room. So, the challenge is to determine which type of room heater will work for your house.

Ceramic - This type of room heater uses ceramic plates and aluminium baffles. They have a fan that spreads the heat from the ceramic to its immediate atmosphere. It’s the fan that makes them effective for bigger rooms with high ceilings.

Convection - This type of room heater warms the air present near the body of the heater and circulates the heat to every corner using the process of natural convection.

Fan - They provide instant warmth to the room as it works by sending a blast of warm air directly into the environment. But they are mostly ideal for small rooms.

Radiant - The most used room heater, radiant models have a glowing quartz and a reflector to emit the heat into the surrounding or a certain area and not the whole room.

Oil Filled - These take a while to heat up but provide warmth consistently. They use electricity to heat the oil and then use its warmth to spread the heat. They are quite economical and ideal for large rooms.

Gas - They don’t require electricity to warm up your room. Gas heaters use a flame to ignite the gas inside the device and produce heat that is circulated into the environment. But they use oxygen from the air, so you need to have a proper ventilation system.

After reading all these, our elders started the discussion of which heater to place where. They decided to buy room heaters online as the numbers were on the higher side and no one was ready to carry it home from the shop. The process was quite easy. Dad paid the amount by Internet banking and we got the deliveries at our doorstep within few days.
