Role Played by the Fashion Designing Colleges in India

Similarly every individual is bestowed with some inherent qualities that they should recognize and try to bring out. There are students who study and make career by studying subjects such as mathematics, finance, science etc while there are a few who cannot cram up the facts but are very good in practical subjects. They are often creative and quick in everything they do. Fashion designing is meant for such people only who believe in giving results and outputs in a given deadline.
Fashion designing colleges in India initiated this idea of studying fashion as a subject. Though the idea of fashion existed since earlier times but at that time wearing clothes was more of a need to cover your body due to societal and environmental measures than flaunting and understanding one’s inherent fashion statement. Since more than a decade now, fashion is not only taken very much seriously but has become a part of every household. Now mandate has changed from wearing anything to putting on what makes you look good and comfortable!
This drift in the social thinking can be accredited as a part of spreading corporate culture, malls and people’s inclusion in social events such as parties, stage events, large scale wedding functions etc. The contribution of film industry and modeling world also cannot be neglected. Fashion that seemed to be the inherent property of European and other western countries only, now has become a strong support in the Indian backbone of exports goods!
The role played by fashion designing colleges in India towards their contribution to this change is that they bring the knowledge of underlying facts from all over the world onto the papers. The facts that were not available to the students earlier are now handy and useful in bringing about new ideas and patterns. They get directions on what should be designed, how to be designed, how to use the materials, what has been already used and what can be created etc. It is just like any other subject where the research always has a scope and the syllabus keeps on revising with every new discovery.
Fashion designing colleges in India also offer field of research, journalism, merchandising, socializing and organizing along with the main duties of being a creative designer. These duties have to be performed by the one man army in a small venture while there are segregated departments and employees for each of these in the big brand houses.
