Virtual assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are helping people organizing their home while Artificial Intelligence powered tools are providing efficiency to work places. Machine learning is the technique behind artificial intelligence. Machine learning has become an exciting new career option for those interested in a technical career in machine learning. There are various colleges and online portals offering machine learning certification to students.

What is machine learning?

Machine learning is an application that helps system to automatically learn and improve ability to provide the result. Machine learning helps to develop the computer programs that can access data and make proper use of it.

Artificial intelligence is a process of creating an intelligent machine using programming language. This works great to provide the more accurate result.

The process of learning begins with observations or data, such as examples, direct experience, or instruction, in order to look for patterns in data and make better decisions in the future based on the examples that we provide. The primary aim is to allow the computers learn automatically without human intervention or assistance and adjust actions accordingly.

Machine learning is a method of working on large amounts of historical data by running statistical techniques on them. This data is then used to identify patterns and use the information gained from it to aid the smart machines in their decision-making ability. It has already found various applications in real life.

Some of use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning role in real life are listed below –

1. Image Recognition - Machine learning can help in identifying images by measuring the pixels in each image. It has applications in security because it enables facial recognition. It can also be used for character recognition where a piece of writing can be divided into several images each containing a single character like an alphabet or a digit.

2. Speech Recognition - Another useful application of machine learning is in speech recognition. It can recognize spoken words by measuring the intensity or energy of different speech signals. It uses voice user interfaces such as voice dialing, call routing etc. It can be used for speech to text processing or simply data entry.

Me Medical Diagnosis - Machine learning can help in prediction of disease progression. It can use the knowledge for research and therapy planning and patient support. It can be of immense use in intensive care units for continuous monitoring and interpretation of a patient’s health related data.

Machine learning’s predictive, analytic and associative abilities can help humans in bringing accuracy to many critical processes. It can also enable them in offloading dangerous work in mines etc to machines. It can extract information and power machines to help us in ways which were thought impossible in the past. It is indeed an incredible breakthrough for modern science.
