The funds can be in the form of FDR, Education Loan, Post-Office (MIS), PO (RD Account), GPF of parents, Public Provident Fund or Loan against Property. The cost would be around 22 to 25 lakhs and the funds must be six-months old. They can be of the spouse, parents, siblings, grandparents or parents-in-law. However, the candidate must have relevant documents to establish his/her relationship with the sponsor.

• As a part of the visa application process, the candidate must meet the health requirements. It is advisable to undertake medical examination before filing for visa, as the health assessment process may take several weeks to complete.

• File for the visa application through online or paper mode once you have the documents, funds and have received the offer letter from the University. Visa process will require your educational documents, passport, medical, proof of funds and income tax returns of one year, Affidavit by self or parents, offer letter, statement of purpose, photograph, marriage certificate (if applicable), student e-mail id and contact number.
