Renewable Energy Investment Growth

by Barry Brenner Internet Marketing Consultant
Renewable energy investment is continuing to grow. Even in the worldwide economic recession, the rise of financially backed interest grew and has continued to show steady investment. For instance in 2011, renewable energy such as solar and wind had an investment of two hundred fifty seven billion dollars which was an increase of thirty seven billion from the previous year.

The reason for the great interest in renewable energy is solar technology. The viability of a world run by sunlight is seen as a strong area of financial expansion. One of the greatest forces in solar technology is coming from universities throughout the world that are looking for less expensive and more accessible ways of using sunlight to create electricity. Their objective is quite collective with a lot of different areas of science involved in reaching the goal. Many industries are interested in using solar energy today because of these advances than never were before. There are success stories of how renewable energy investment has led to financial savings regarding what would have been spent on coal, oil, and natural gas. Spain and Germany are experiencing savings regarding money saved from pollution that comes from fossil fuel use. Eventually nation building will be based on the cost of electricity to run homes, factories, and farms more than anything else.

Renewable solar energy investment is showing a lot of growth in India. This is an example of nation building from within. India has shown the largest growth in renewable energy investment with a sixty two percent growth rate in this area. It was higher than China and Brazil. In 2010, countries progressing in the areas of industrial growth invested more in renewable energy than already industrialized nations.

Many investors believe that this growth in renewable energy investment was because of the advance of solar technology. While investment in wind power technology was about eighty four billion dollars, investments in solar technology were about one hundred and forty seven billion dollars. The margin of increased investment in solar and wind technology is increasing in large numbers.

There are areas of solar energy that are very promising to investors. One is the development and use of the smart grid. This is a network of electricity transport that has been improved by digital information and new communication technology to ease the possible intermittence of solar energy. As long as technology in solar energy continues, investment interest will grow.
