Remove Silicone From Sheet

by James Decrescenzo Marketer
You want to know how to remove Silicone Lube? Maybe you have been injured in an accident, or maybe you just don't like the way it looks. Well, the good news is that you can remove it yourself! All that you need is a few basic tools and a little bit of time.

First, you will need to take apart your Silicone Lube bottle. This is done by unzipping the lid and pulling it off. Be sure to keep from contaminating any other areas with the melted silicone. The next step is to remove as much of the fluid as possible. Do this by using a rag and gently rubbing around the outer edge of the container. Be sure to leave some air space between the space you are leaving and the surrounding material so that you do not destroy anything when you remove the remainder of the liquid.

Place the first piece of the remove silicone lubes into the bottom of the bucket where the alcohol will sit. This will seal the bottle in place and keep it from drying out. Next, place the second piece of the silicone into the bottom of the bucket and the same process will happen with the next pieces.

Once you have removed as much as possible, you should notice that there is a strip of silicone left. Peel back the strip of silicone and discard of it. This is the "wasted" part that the manufacturer will not send you back because it is considered unnecessary by law. Now that you have that out of the way, you can reassemble your items.

If the seal around the bottle has cracks, use some heat to open it up a little. However, if the crack does not expand too much, simply use a pair of needle-nose pliers to squeeze it until it pops. The plastic should be able to expand a good bit more before cracking once again. Once the crack expands to about half an inch, you will then know you have successfully removed it. While the alcohol dries, you can place the tab down on the cap and submerge the entire piece of the Lube in it. Allow the entire surface of the Lube to sit there for about ten minutes. During this time, the alcohol will absorb some of the oil and you will not need to worry about it being left behind. However, the oil will begin to turn darker as it absorbs more alcohol.

When the time comes to remove the cap, you will want to do it one at a time. You will need to be careful of how you are holding the bottle so that it does not spill. It is best to use a flashlight so that you do not accidentally spray the contents of the bottle. Once all the pieces are removed, you should rinse them off with warm water and put them in their proper storage container. Be sure to follow the directions on the label to ensure that the bottle has been properly stored. Check out different types of lube brands here.

After you have cleaned and stored your Lube, you will then be able to safely use it again. As you can see, this process is easy and does not require a high level of skill. There are many reasons that people may want to remove their silicone lube bottle. By following the steps listed above, you will be able to clean and store your Lube for years to come.
