Reasons Why Android is Smarter than iOS

by Christine Paul Writer
Smartphone has become an essential part of our life & most of us are totally dependent on them for our day-to-day tasks. With the two main players in the world of mobile technology – Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS, it can be a tough choice to make a decision & pick one OS between these two. While Android is the most commonly used platform for multiple smartphones from different phone manufacturers, iOS can only be used on Apple devices like iPhone, iPad, etc. Talking about apps, most of the iOS Apps built by iPhone App Developers need to be purchased while Android Apps are mostly free.  Though iOS might be the best OS for the Apple lovers, here are some of the main reasons why Android OS is still smarter than iOS:

Multi-devices Support

One of the main reasons why Android OS is being preferred over iOS is the availability of a wide range of multiple phones that support Android platform. In addition to that, users can avail multiple brands while buying an Android phone with different price ranges as per their budget allowance. While for iOS, the choice of smartphone is only one i.e. iPhone and it is quite pricey as compared to Android phones.

No iTunes Complexity

For the users who are using iPhone for the first time, loading the music tracks on an iPhone can be a headache as it requires connecting the phone, syncing the tracks as well as losing previous data if you are syncing on different PC. Due to this inconvenience, users prefer Android, which requires connecting the phone through the USB cable and copying tracks just like a pen drive. It’s that simple in Android, unlike iOS-based phones.

Split Screen & Personalization

The multitasking feature supported by most of the recent versions of the android phones is the Split screen, which helps in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. While iOS supports this feature only on iPads, not on iPhones. Additionally, Android users can use a launcher, change the icon pack as per their wish & add suitable widgets on the screen. It can be interesting as users won’t be bored but iPhone users can change the wallpaper for changing looks.

Better Navigation Buttons

While iPhone comes with only one home button (that has also been removed in the newly launched iPhone X), Android phones support three buttons to navigate from one menu to another. While Apple developers try to have a simpler approach with one button, it can be frustrating to get used to it, if you were using Android phones earlier.

There is no denial in the fact that there are many reasons why one should opt Android over iOS phones due to its easy usage & multiple features supported. Android phones are built with the dual sim feature and expandable storage option, which is not present in iOS phones. As we know Apps are the lifeline of these smartphones, choose the right Mobile App Development Company that has in-depth knowledge of all the latest development trends, if you are thinking to build an app for your business.
