Reasons to Use a Gas Stove Instead of an Induction Cooktop

by Sachin Diwakar Blogger
Here are the main reasons which will let you know that a gas stove is better than an induction cooktop.

And if you want to make the perfect decision for choosing the best gas stove in India, this post will help you.

Start Cooking Immediately: One of the advantages of a gas stove is that you can use it right away to cook your meals. All you need to do is to turn it on, adjust the heat and that’s it. Unlike electric cookers or induction-based cooktops, you do not have to warm the stove before using it; so essentially you can start cooking right away without any lag time.

Use Any Utensil: You can use almost any utensil with a gas stove, so you would not have to head to the local store to purchase any new vessel. Whereas with Induction and electric cookers, you may be required to purchase separate vessels, while there is no such requirement with gas-based ones.

Lower Heat Emission: The gas stove remains cooler in the kitchen. The heat immediately disperses once the gas stove is turned off. Unlike the induction cooktop which distributes heat around the appliance, the gas stove doesn’t waste heat that enters the air around the stovetop.

Accurate Cooking Temperature: The temperature required for cooking is accurately and easily achieved with gas stoves. Whether you turn the flame lower or higher, it changes immediately. Induction cooktops, on the other hand, require more time for the change in flame to occur while the burner gets warmer or cooler.

Cost: While induction cooktops may seem to cost less than gas stoves, they are a little more expensive when you include the cost of new vessels for the induction cooktop. When you work out the cost between the two, the gas stove one is cheaper, though not by much.
