Parents that feel their children read and write at an advanced level, and have a tendency to accelerate past their peers, would be wise to invest in the tutoring services of a reading and writing enrichment program.  Enlisting your child in an enrichment program can prevent them from stalling in their progress and offset the feeling of them becoming complacent.

By enrolling in one-on-one tutoring lessons and challenging the child’s mind with unique, individualized studying programs, your child will progress at a pace he or she feels comfortable, without feeling any sense of guilt they may feel amongst their peers.  The JEI Learning Centers offer tutoring services to residents of the Toronto area, and approach teaching enrichment programs with their Brain Safari programs.  The Brain Safari program is an advanced program that expands the child’s reading and writing skills in a fun, playful manner.  The program focuses on building strong logical and analytical skills, and also looks to create a more proficient foundation for creative thinking and memory skills.  The programs are unique, fun, and engaging, and they help take students’ skills and talents to the next level in not only reading and writing, but other subjects as well.  The Brain Safari includes six major areas that involve critical thinking and two areas that involve creative thinking, allowing for a harmonious, balanced approach to building and enhancing the child’s cognitive abilities.

The six areas covered in the critical thinking category are Disciplined Intelligence, Mathematical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Memory Training, Analytical Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning.  The two areas covered in the creative thinking category are Enhancing Creativity and Problem Solving.  Each student will be given their own individual work book, and each category will contain a set of problems complete with pictures and scenarios to make each problem an exciting prospective challenge.

Before deciding whether or not tutoring services are a good fit for your child, be sure to talk to them about it first.  Many children may feel uncomfortable about the idea at first, as it may cause them to feel like they’re outcasts or not “normal” since they’ll be isolated from their peers.  Although the atmosphere offered at JEI Learning Centers is a casual and fun environment, it’s still important the child is fully on board with the idea and has no reservations about receiving tutoring.  For more information, please visit JEI’s official website at http://ca.jeilearning.com/
