Railways Launch SMS Gateway for Sending Alerts to Passengers on PNR Status

Indian Railways added another milestone by starting another innovative plan known as the SMS Gateway, that will enable people to obtain SMS alerts around the status of reserved tickets. The SMS Gateway that was produced by Center for Railway human resources (CRIS), an autonomous organization underneath the Secretary of state for Railways, was released through the Minister of Condition for Railways Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury here today around the occasion of the seminar on the party's theme Role from it in Rail Services - Present and Future.

The seminar was organised through the Center for Transportation Research and Management (CTRAM), an autonomous body from the Secretary of state for Railways.
