Quickbooks Error Code -6189,-77:

Error code 6189:It is a quickbooks error, When you opened QuickBooks file again, the dialog box states that "No Company Open" displays. After selecting the company, an error message appears stating "QB is unable to open this company file, It may have been opened by another user. Error codes: -6189, -816

What causes this error code?

lAnother user is logged into the company file in Single User Mode.

lData damage in the Quickbooks data file.

lthe transaction log file (.tlg) and the company file (.qbw) are mismatch.

This error occurs when an opeming or creating a company file.

How to resolve this error code?

Method 1: Fix TLG mismatch

l Locate the transaction log file. It has the same name as your company file, but      with a .tlg extension.

l Right-click the transaction log file and choose Rename.

l Enter a new name, for example CompanyName-OLD.TLG.

Method 2:

l All users are logged out of the Quickbooks Data file

l Restart all computers

l Copy the data file to a local drive and then copy it back to the original location

l Open the file in Quickbooks.

Error: Missing Name List Problem

When Opening your QuickBooks Desktop company file, you see the following message:

We're sorry. QuickBooks couldn't open your company file. 
We'll try to fix the problem.  Click Start to begin.
