Solutions to fix QuickBooks Messenger Error

Solution 1: Restart your system after disabling the anti-virus software

1. First, go to the Windows Start menu.

2. Type “windows firewall” in the search box and open the Windows firewall application.

3. Next, click on the Advanced Settings tab in the firewall application.

4. Then right-click on the Inbound Rules option and click the New Rule option.

5. After that, select the Port option and See if the TCP checkbox is check-marked.

6. Then click on the Next button.

7. When you See the Specific local ports option? Type the specific ports you need for your QuickBooks year version : 

a) QuickBooks Desktop 2020: 8019, XXXXX

b) QuickBooks Desktop 2019:8019, XXXXX

c) QuickBooks Desktop 2018: 8019, 56728,55378-55382

d) QuickBooks Desktop 2017:8019,56727,55373-55377

8. When you have entered the port number, click on the Next button.

9. Click on Allow the connection option, then again click the Next button.

10. See whether all the profiles are selected and when you see any pop up on your screen, click the Next button.

12. Now, create a rule and name it like “QuickBooksPorts(year)”

13. Finally, click on the Finish button.

Solution 2: Run the QuickBooks install Diagnostics tool

1. First, you must download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub.

2. Next, open QuickBooks Tool Hub and click on the Installation Issues tab.

3. Then Click on the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool option in  the Installation Issues tab.

4. At last, restart your device after the diagnostic process completes.
