Proper installing of Cable networks at your home with good quality cables

Cannot take decision on what type of network cabling to install at your home? Are you looking for quality Ethernet cables? Ethernet cables are designed in a particular way and each of them has a different function. The home owners or the businessmen use Cat 5e cables, since they can achieve a greater standard of data transmission. Another reason of using these is that these are gigabit certified, has better resistance and these can transfer data up to 1000 Mbps. You can install these cables at your residence, commercial office network, shopping mall, data center and any place. It comes in two varieties: Screened Twisted Pair (SCTP) and Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). The former one is more market demanded as it has an extra layer of shielding to protect from interference.

Before you start installation, it is important to draw the cabling layout at your home. A proper measurement of the cables and the distance between two cables is also essential. For the right transmission, you require right cables and equipments for proper wiring. For the ease of installation, Ethernet cables are available in some specific colors. These help in coding the different functions during the installation process. Cat6 cable is an advanced form of copper cable. While installing copper cables, you are advised to separate the power cables from data cables. The data cables are used for transmitting the network over a long distance. Sometime these are also used as standard patch cable.

Cautionary measures

1.      Check on the cable manufacturer’s installation instructions. Alternatively you can hire professionals for installation purpose.

2.      Generally the cables should be supported at least 4 feet from the ground.

3.      Do not overstress the cables while pulling towards outside.

4.      Care should be taken when attaching cable to connectors or jacks.

5.      Color codes should be maintained throughout the entire system for proper pair connections. 

6.      During transportation, protection of cables must be ensured.

7.      It is generally advised to tie the cable either with copper cables or with fiber cables, depending on the functions and types of cables

8.      Use protective eye glasses to avoid injuries and any harmful effects.

9.      Look for the good manufacturer.

10.  Last, but not the least, discussing with your local network cabling contractor about the installment will be quite helpful for you.
