When spring announces its arrival with the first snowdrops, everything suddenly changes into contributing to that amazing fresh ambiance that awakens all your senses. It's the time of the year when you change all your clothes, and start preparing for the scheduled spring clean and home refreshing. And when it comes to refreshing your home, you can get various cool ideas from the vast world of Pinterest on everything from furniture, walls, decorations, outdoor area and similar.

In this post I'm going to concentrate on refreshing your walls; they're a major design element in all your rooms, and once you set the direction in which you want your overall interior décor to go, everything else simply falls into place : the furniture, the carpets, the decorations and the flowers. Major accent on flowers here; it's spring, everything is playful and colourful, so flowers are kind of a-must. Here are a few good ideas for incorporating a modern flowers wallpaper for your walls and refreshing the boring, old look of eternal whiteness in your rooms:

A pink pillar

Choose the widest pillar in your living room for instance, and cover it with a modern flowers wallpaper in pink colour; think baby pink, or vintage pink with small white flowers, or even something extra, like butterflies. Anything that reminds you of spring can do. Make it a stand out element on a white wall; it will break the monotony and give your room direction for the decorations and other refreshments.

Go vintage pink!

Vintage styles are so trending right now; not just in interior design, but also in clothing and don't let me start on the fast take-over of hipsterism in the world. So, why not add a spring, vintage element to your interior design: refreshment and modernism at the same time! This can be best done in your kitchen; choose the wall facing your kitchen elements and cover it with a wallpaper in gentle pink nuance; the kitchen won't feel crowded and you'll manage to add a dose of spring freshness to it.

Beyond the ordinary – A bohemian spot in your home

Don't limit yourself only to the mainstream room layout with a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathrooms; if you have the space (and I know you do) create a special retreat for yourself – Boho style. Think dreamy desert sunsets and blushing quartz crystals; those would be your dominating colours. And since Boho is all about layers, just fire away with the pink nuances on both wallpapers and furniture! You can go especially crazy with pillows and blankets here.
