The Saree is widely acknowledged as the symbol of an Indian culture. The word has been derived from the Sanskrit word "sati" which means "strip of cloth" which was later on converted to "sari or saree" in Hindi.

The sari sometimes bout as saree, is a cloak dress, created from a single bit of fabric which is wrapped around a woman's body in a variety of ways. In this 21st century approximately 75 % of the Indian female population wears Kanjivaram sarees. It is one of the oldest known items of clothing that is still in use. Kanchipuram Silk Sarees are commonly worn by the people only during the weeding functions.

India has been known to have wonderful dresses & costumes. One of the most accepted attire of woman's femininity is saree. It covers a woman's body from head to toe making her look modest & bashful.

Even in this modern arena, it has maintained its popularity & importance among other feminine dresses and has become a successful in maintaining its sophistication, sensuality, elegance & beauty.

According to the custom of India almost every Indian woman wears it on her marriage day. Compared to other saris, bridal saris look something different form normal wear soft silk sarees. They look more fascinating & gorgeous.

There are so many designs & forms to wear depending on different occasions, in different seasons & for daily usage. Indian saris are available in a wide range of colors using different fabrics like georgette, brass, embroidery, chiffon, crape saris & much more.

Process:

To assassinate the silkworms, the cocoons are dehydrated in the sun. There is a change where the silkworms are grant to leave before the cocoons are dipped in to the boiling water for softening the silk and then falter. Cocoons are stored which are single-shelled and oval in shape and then they are boiled to excerpt the silk yarn from it. Blain is indeed and it is very important part process in the manufacture of silk it is used to soften the cocoon then it will be easy to extract the silk. In sericulture process, the cocoons are blain with the larvaeit will be still inside, if the cocoons are blain after the larvae then it will leave them.

Methods

• 1. Dry cleaning is the safest method for Tussar.

• 2. Dry cleaned Tussar saree should not be wrapped in plastic. Silks need to breathe.

• 3. If Tussar fabric is handwashed, use cold water and a mild liquid soap meant for delicate clothes or shampoo for washing.
