and Narayan mountain ranges. As a part of the holy Char Dham Yatra this Dham is
relatively easier to reach however one must not underestimate the amount of

Prior to even booking your tickets you must know when is the
safest and the best time for you to visit. Unarguably, monsoon months should be
avoided due to the risks involving landslides and flooding. Plan your trip
during the opening of the Dham in May till early July. After the monsoon season
till the closing time during the months of September to October / November is
also an ideal time to go if you can bear the Himalayan chill.
Weather and Road
Conditions

time by talking to the local authorities there or going through newspapers or
social media platforms. This will allow you to be more prepared and keep you mentally
ready to deal with any situation and avoid unexpected mishaps. Please know the
best time to visit for this purpose as well since it will come in handy to your
plans.
Medications Required
Apart from your regular prescribed medicines you must carry
a first aid kit with you at all times. This box will consist of emergency
medicines like anti fever, cough syrup, anti-diarrhoea medication, pain
killers, bandages, cotton, band aids, Dettol etc. doing this will not only come
in handy to you but also to any of your fellow Yatris in case of emergencies.
Clothing and Footwear
It is needless to say that you must be dressed decently in
order to avoid hurting the religious sentiments of the people here. For a more
comfortable travel you can choose to wear salwar suit or track pants and not
sarees. When it comes to footwear invest in a good pair of walking shoes which
will be a good idea.
