All about Porsche Cayenne

Porsche Cayenne is manufactured by the German car manufacturer, Porsche and shares its platform with the Volkswagen Touareg. The Porsche Cayenne is a 5- door SUV and initially gets launched in 2002 with direct injection technology. The second generation face lifted version was launched in 2014 with minor alterations in the exterior features.  This vehicle can be driven by both petrol and diesel. Different models of the Cayenne are available in the market, namely the Cayenne S, Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S Transsyberia, Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3.

Exterior Appearance of the Cayenne

The exterior appearance of the Porsche Cayenne is dynamic with a completely changed bonnet and sporty wings. The bi-xenon main headlight featuring four LED spotlights, 18-inch multi spoke cayenne wheel are some additions to the exterior appearance. The modified bonnets and sharper exterior design make the car more muscular and gives greater look and presence. Door-sill guards with stainless steel and logo, sporty look alike sides and meticulously modified rear portion gives a distinct appeal to the car. On the whole, this face lifted Cayenne is a true SUV with its lighter weight and environmental protection characteristics.

Interior Appearance of the Cayenne

The interior of this Porsche Cayenne denotes luxury and sophistication. The front upholstery and the rear portion are neatly arranged with practically used instruments and 8-way adjustable seats. The cabin looks huge, wider and airy at the first glance. The new multi function steering wheel that is derived from the 918 spyder has harmonious designing and retains the intact functioning of the SUV. The other functions are auto start, stop button which cuts the engine on approaching heavy traffic conditions. CDR audio system with 7-inch display gives thundering sound on travelling. On complete analysis, the Interior appearance retains its Porche Cayenne character even after subjecting it to other smart modifications.

Engine system

The engine system is a 3.6 L V6 and V8 engine with a maximum power rating of 300 hp at 6300 rpm with a top speed of 230 km with the auto transmission system. The fuel efficiency is 12.3 kmpl. The 8-speed tiptronic is an additional feature added to its diesel variant that increases the acceleration of the car from 0 to 100 km/h within 7.7 seconds and few other turbo engines hits 100 km/h in a twinkling 5.4 second. The presence of the Porsche traction management and Porsche stability management systems control the stability and enhance the safety of the car, apart from the normal safety features. Anti –theft alarm prevents the car theft and enhances the safety of the car. Porche cayenne can be obtained in India at a price range of Rs. 1.04-1.79 Crores
