Places where the innovative Google Glassware has failed

Google Glass has certainly been able to make the world curious. However, a closer inspection will reveal some serious design flaws in the device. For many some specs of Google Glass are actually quite irritating. They are also suggesting that Google could have waited longer for the launch since it wasn’t clearly ready with the product. While, not many are using the Google Glass technology, the small bunch of receivers has certainly brought down the credibility. The overall Google Glass App Development technology is certainly unique and first of its kind, but there was a lot of potential that was missed out upon.

When looking into Google Glasses Application technology, a key term that we need to understand is “Google Glassware”. The term refers to the app than have been specifically crafted and are exclusive to the product. Compared to Android, Google Glassware is a very complicated concept and not the niche of the regular app developer. As such, every developer wishing to contribute to the Google Glass platform must do an in-depth study of the practical uses of the product. A well made app can actually make you a millionaire overnight, but this statement also speaks out of the complexity of the work.

What went wrong?

Not all developers have access to the hardware that Google Glass uses. Subsequently, only a few developers have been able to actually see and feel the technology for themselves. It is important for a developer that he/she understand what the app is going to facilitate but for that they also need to be conversant with it. It is similar to saying that you wouldn’t find an android developer without a smart phone.

As a consequence of the little understanding of the hardware, there are several Google Glass Apps (Glassware) that speak of total failure.

Useless: There are many Google Apps that are of little practical use. It is evident that the developer has no idea how his/her app is going to perform in the real time environment. Google Glass Application development has really crawled into the unknown.

Improper user interface: Again, triggered by ignorance, many Google Glassware have gone terribly wrong when it comes to the end user interface. Google Glass isn’t as simple a platform as a smart phone but since most developers are conversant with Android, they haven’t been able to keep pace with the requisites of Google Glassware.

Unnecessary creativity: Creativity is great, but to a certain extent. Developers cannot just bring out a completely new thing, try to reinvent the wheel and expect consumers to be able to comfortably interact with their designs. Google Glass App Development needs to stay simple and true to its core as its still in its infancy.

Repetitiveness: Remakes, redesigns aren’t cool anymore. Consumers are looking for something original and unique. Churn out an app that will add to the ways of using the Google Glass and you would be instantly recognized. But creating something that has already been seen/used isn’t going to help you impress.
