Cellular Jail: Port Blair, a capital of Andaman Islands,
is a place of historic importance, the Cellular Jail built in the year 1896 by
British, jailed prominent freedom fighters of India like Gokhale
Bhikaji Ganesh, Veer Savarkar, Batukeshwar and more who were involved in
India’s freedom struggle. Every evening
Light and Sound Show is held in the jail, which talks about the heroic struggle of freedom fighters.
Samudrika Museum: This museum is managed by Indian Navy;
the motive behind setting up this vast establishment was to bring tourists
closer to the true essence of Andaman. On your visit to this destination, you

Viper
Island: People were enslaved in Viper Island
before Cellular Jail came into existence. A jail stood on the top os this
Island which housed revolutionaries before independence. The ruins of that jail
can even be seen today. You can reach this Island through a cruise from
Andaman. If you forget about the history of this Island, you will find it to be
really beautiful and the sunset here is worth watching.
Havelock: This island is located at a distance of 54 km
from Port Blair and can be reached through a cruise. It is one of the most
popular destinations of Andaman mainly because of the picture perfect beauty.
The place is famous for adventure activities such as sea walk, snorkeling, and scuba diving. The Island is
also a home to the Asia’s best “Radhanagar Beach” known for the turquoise blue
waters and white sand beaches. Another popular beach is the Elephant beach, where
you can view Elephants swimming around the beautiful waters.
Corbyn’s
Cove: It is a beautiful beach with a picturesque background that is complete with
blue sea and palm trees. It is famous for various water sports such as scuba
diving and water surfing. Several hotels and resorts are at a small distance
from the beach offering you a variety of accommodation choices.
Limestone caves:
Baratang’s limestone caves are a site that must not be visited during your
Andaman trip. These caves have been created naturally and will leave you
amazed. And the biggest fun is you reach here through a boat safari, which
passes through forests and is home to the Jarwa
tribe.
