Location
Located in the northwestern part of Delhi, Pitampura is an upscale
residential area that was developed by the Delhi Development Authority as a
planned neighbourhood in the early 1980s. The name was derived from the 400-500 year
old Pitampura village, which is located near Madhuban Chowk. The famous
Pitampura TV Tower was built in 1988, and the Dilli Haat (INA market) is also
found nearby.
This locality is bordered by the Outer and Inner Ring Roads,
Rohtak Road and the National Highway (NH-1). Pitampura consists of the
Pitampura Ward and Pitampura North Ward, coming under the Rohini Zone of the
Municipal Corporation of Delhi. A large number of the residents in this
locality are government servants from the central administrative services. Being
an exclusive residential locality with various retail and commercial centres, the Pitampura Real Estate is experiencing a boom in

The locality has very good connectivity as the Delhi Metro’s Red Line covers 3
stations in this locality; namely, Kohat Enclave, Pitampura and Netaji Subhas
