Photography on HONOR 8X: The Light of Jesus

by Siz Zhang Writer

If you like to take pictures of the sky, you can use spot metering to measure the light at the edge of the glare. The effect is that the sky retains enough detail. Although there is no detail in the dark part, it can avoid the messy foreground. In other words, the foreground is a few stops darker than the sky.

Conversely, if you are taking pictures of something on the ground, you can choose center-weighted metering, metering on the foreground, so that the entire picture is fully exposed.

How to Meter photography on HONOR 8X?

In Pro Mode, you can found HONOR 8X supports Matrix, center, and Spot metering.

a)      Matrix metering selects a wide area of the screen

b)      Center-weighted metering selects the entire frame, but assigns greater weight to the center of the frame.

c)      Spot metering focuses on 2.5% of the area at the center of the frame

Tips: Sometimes the manual focus is better than autofocus. The next time you should be aware of selecting a position of focus before you press the shutter, and pay attention to a little Sun icon next to the focus circle. Tap, hold and drag this symbol on a slider up or down to brighten or darken the exposure to perfection.
