PERIODOS’17 at IMT Hyderabad
Institute of Management Technology,
Hyderabad, a premier B-school of Southern India, where fitness is a life
mantra, unveiled the fourth version of its Annual Sports Festival: PERIODOS, on
the 20th January, 2017. PERIODOS
is an event where teams from top Indian business schools compete in various
sports namely: Football, Cricket,
Volleyball, Table Tennis, Basketball, Throwball and
Counter-strike.
Living up to a four-year-old legacy, PERIODOS’17 was a power packed package of
a plethora of aggrandizing, refreshing and enthralling moments.
PERIODOS 4.0 witnessed an overwhelming and
enthusiastic participation from several B-schools: IBS Hyderabad, SIBM Hyderabad, NMIMS Hyderabad, NICMAR Hyderabad,
Guru Nanak Business School Hyderabad, IMT Nagpur, Alliance Business School and
VVSM Hyderabad. Day 1 of the Sports
Fest concluded on an euphoric and jubilant note, with The Blue Soul Band
performing on peppy and groovy Bollywood songs. The second day of IMT Hyderabad’s
PERIODOS 4.0 started with the same charisma as that of Day 1. The Comprehensive
final matches of all the diverse genres of PERIODOS sports events were played
on day 2, which kept the participants gratified and captivated.
FOOTBALL: The final football match was
played between IBS Hyderabad and Alliance Business School, which was won by IBS
in the penalty shoot-out by a score of 4-3.
CRICKET: The final cricket match was
played between IMT Hyderabad and IBS Hyderabad. It turned out to be one of the
most exciting contests, with the host team winning by 17 runs.
TABLE-TENNIS: The
finals of table tennis were played between IMT Nagpur and NMIMS Hyderabad. IMT
Nagpur won the contest with a score of 3-0.
THROWBALL: The final match of Throwball was
played between IMT Hyderabad and SIBM Hyderabad, which IMT Hyderabad won
convincingly.
COUNTER-STRIKE: In the final face off of
Counter-strike, IBS Hyderabad locked horns with IMT Hyderabad. The closely
contested match was finally won by IBS Hyderabad with a score of 16-6.
VOLLEYBALL: The finals were played between
NICMAR Hyderabad and IBS Hyderabad. It turned out to be a very competitive
encounter which IBS Hyderabad won by 2-1.
BASKETBALL: The final match of basketball
was played between IBS Hyderabad and SIBM Hyderabad, which IBS Hyderabad won by
a convincing score of 70-50.

The two
day extravaganza ended with a vivacious closing ceremony that comprised of a
prize distribution ceremony followed by a vote of thanks by Mr. Adarsh
Tripathi, a member of Altius: The Sports Club of IMT Hyderabad. Moreover, a
spectacular dance performance, a very well-executed play and a soulful musical
performance by the students of IMT Hyderabad left the audience awestruck.
About IMT-Hyderabad
IMT Hyderabad is a state-of-the-art modern
B-School established in Hyderabad, Telangana. It is the fourth and the youngest
IMT to be established. This premier B-School was established in the year 2011.
It offers programs in Management which are up to industry standards. The campus
is situated near Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad.

intervening period between first and second year. The
internship extends over a period of 14 weeks. IMT
Hyderabad has been a champion of holistic development of its students. The various clubs kindle the creative talents
in students by conducting thought provoking activities that prepare students
for the real world.
