Pastry Affair

by Divya S. Content Writer

When I was 8 years old, I always wanted to start up my own bakery shop as I love baking to the next level. I remember how I used to tell my mother how perfectly I am going to decorate my bakery shop. As I grew up my wish remained just a dream. I was so busy building up my career that I kept aside my wish in a corner and made my career my first and very important priority in my life. I realized this when I was sitting in one of the Best Dessert Shop In CP, ‘Brioche Doreé’, it not only serves amazing pastries but also it serves great coffee too. It’s among the best dessert and coffee shops in CP.

I was there with my friend Akash. We became friends through facebook and this was the first time we met face to face. Holding the menu card in my hand I asked “what to order?” his clueless expression made me think that I should provide him with options. I asked him whether he would like to have something sweet or not. He was okay with the sweet thing. So we ordered an apple puff pastry and a seasonal fruit tart. While waiting for the order I asked about his family and studies to break the awkward silence between us. He was very introvert kind of a person and I was the one who talks the most. The order was served and we started eating meanwhile my mother called and asked me to return home early as she was expecting some guests. I just said “Okay!” and cut the call.

After we were done eating our pastries, I asked the staff for the bill. And he asked me for a cup of coffee but I refused because I was in a hurry as my mom told me to come early. Though this was the first I heard him speak first the rest of the time he was only answering my questions or praising the food. I apologized him for not having a cup of coffee with him but promised him to make it for the next time.

I reached my home after about an hour and asked his whereabouts through WhatsApp. After helping my mother in serving tea and snacks to the guests, I came to my room and checked my phone to know whether he reached home or not. There was not a single text of him. I went to wash my face. After I came back I saw my 1 missed call and a text “Reached” of Akash. I decided not to call back as it would look awkward. My mother called me and I went outside the room to have my dinner and while having my dinner, I told my mother about the coffee shops in cp and the café in which I went to meet my online friend. I told about the amazing pastry I had in Brioche Doreé and advised her to visit that place once for amazing French cuisine. We were done with our dinner and I helped my mother in cleaning utensils and the dining table came back to my room. While I was lying on my bed I was thinking about my wish that remained unfulfilled and so I decided to focus on starting a bakery shop and to fulfill my wish that’s kept aside from a long time. I wished him Goodnight on WhatsApp and went off to sleep.
