Paranormal Ebooks Offer Life Full Of Accessible Choices For Book Fans

by Nathan J. Freelance Writer

As of today's generation, people primarily prefer electronic media or traditional media, and the same thing happens when they go with the book.

What are ebooks?

An ebook is an electronic version of a definitive printed book that can be read using electronic gadgets such as mobiles, laptops, tablets, etc. Ebooks can consist simply of electronic text or contain extras, such as audio, video, or hyperlinks.

History of eBook

In 1971, Michael S. Hart launched Project Gutenberg and digitized the U.S. Declaration of Independence, becoming the first eBook in the world. In 2007, the world of reading changed forever with Amazon's launch of the Kindle eBook reader in the U.S. and the launch of the iPhone by Apple.

What are the differences between ebooks and printed books?

A printed book is a literary publication comprising pages bound together along a single side and protected by a cover. In contrast, A book that transforms into an electronic form for reading on a dedicated e-reader or computer and handheld devices is called an eBook.

● In simple words, we can say that a printed book is a book in a material form, whereas an ebook is in electronic form.

● Printed books have a back cover, which is mainly used for protection and attracting the readers. The surface can be hardcover or softcover (paperback). As against, an eBook has a front cover displayed on the online shopping sites to attract readers.

● Printed books have a fixed layout that can't be changed whereas eBook has a reflowable form.

eBooks are more widely available and are ideal for some people but are not yet a suitable replacement for traditional books for the entire population. The survey was conducted to study the effect of the availability of ebooks on the readership of printed books/ hard copies. The increasing awareness and availability of technology have impacted the readership for printed books. However, each has its pros and cons.

Most people prefer printed books over ebooks, and resistance to change is a major contributing factor. As technology becomes more user-friendly, more readers will adapt to eBooks.
