Panasonic Raises Awareness for Solar Power Donations Through Solar Eclipse Broadcast
Panasonic has announced, in a recent press release, that they will be broadcasting the total eclipse that will take place in India on March 9, 2016. This broadcast will use Panasonic’s Power Supply Container, described as a stand-alone photovoltaic power package. This broadcast will help raise awareness for the renewable energy donations that their company has made to third world countries. Panasonic is increasing their efforts to facilitate solar financing for the remote locations where people would otherwise not have access to electricity.
This specific total eclipse begins over the Indian Ocean and will be visible to Sumatra, Borneo and Sulawesi countries, countries that have benefited from renewable energy donations. The eclipse will occur on the morning of March 9, 2016 and will only last for four minutes.
A solar eclipse is described as a phenomenon when the moon crosses between the sun and the Earth causing a “diamond ring effect” in the sky around the moon. People, often, describe it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Panasonic's broadcast will allow many more viewers to experience this phenomenon, as well as raise awareness of the energy needs of people across the world.
In Panasonic’s press release they state that they are providing solar financing and technology “to other areas without electricity to provide stable power supply and mitigate social challenges towards a better life and a better world.” The specific Power Supply Container that will be used to capture the total eclipse is completely portable and can be assembled quickly with minimal construction work. It has been very helpful in remote areas where the people had very limited or no access to electricity.
Many companies around the globe are providing renewable energy sources to third world countries in an effort to help support better living situations for those people. Many countries are unable to provide light and heating sources, so these companies are stepping in and creating financing opportunities and donations for those in need to gain access to renewable energy sources.
These new renewable energy technologies have increased the ability for these remote areas to gain access to electricity. Companies have begun to create solar financing opportunities for people in first world countries to donate renewable energy sources to third world countries. These donations will raise the standards of living in these countries. It will increase their access to heating, cooking, communication technology and provide the electricity to support pumps for clean water.
